Hopefully you're all keeping an eye on our release notes for all of the latest updates from our Product team. This week has a few big items, but one in particular that I want to call out.
Vanilla has always had the ability to set default notification preferences (for any new users who join your community) but it used to require asking your CSM or opening a support ticket, which could be time consuming and not instantaneous.
Now it's finally possible for you to make these changes easily yourself right on your dashboard!
Navigate to your dashboard > settings > User Preferences and select "Default Notifications". This will give you a pop up with all of the notification options so you can customize what content triggers an email or pop up to your users:
Combined with our recent Default Followed Categories feature, community managers now have so much more control over what content is promoted to their users!
